I am just getting into the world of loose teas, and this was my first experience with loose leaf peppermint tea. Let me tell you there is no comparison.The tea bags were ok until I tried this tea. Just opening the bag emits a heavenly aroma, you could probably use it as an air freshener if you wanted to. Now for brewing the tea... I doubled up because I like peppermint, I used 4 tsp for 16 oz, but then again I love peppermint. I steeped for 5 minuted since there are no recommendations on the package.... wrong! The tea came out bitter, but after tasting you have this cool tingling peppermint mouth feel, which permeates into your sinuses. I know that doesn't sound very appealing, but if you are a peppermint lover as I am, it was absolutely sensational. I have never tasted peppermint tea like this from tea bags at the grocery store. I went to the two leaves and a bud website, and they have the recommended steeping times available for all their teas, and for the peppermint it is 1-3 minutes. Next time I brew it i'm sure it will be better. This tea would probably blend well with others as well. The most attractive feature has to be the price tag.
